Victory is at hand,,,,,

Just checked my grades and the coin number has changed from #7407 to #509951 on the submission page which is the correct number for the FEV. When I click the cert verification it still shows as #7407 but I suspect that later tonight when PCGS updates my coin should have the correct label,,,,, I HOPE

2 1 83744249 509951 1971-D $1 MS66 USA

It is good to know my eye's haven't failed and I am not going crazy (by not knowing a FEV) at least not just yet.

Would have been very embarrassing had the coin NOT been an FEV.

CONGRATS!
VERY tough to land an FEV in a PCGS MS66 holder!
Did you have to talk to Ashley?
I know that is who I'm asking for if I have a customer service issue with PCGS!

I want to know what they are going to do or why the medals have the same number. Wonder if they all have the same number...?

I haven't got any word from PCGS on the same cert number medals or the fixing of the certs or of the FEV.

I had another coin which didn't match in the data base 6 months ago. I kept checking and they fixed it eventually but I never got any communication from them.

When I called yesterday the girl did tell me they are very covered up.

I have checked and the only medals I found with same certs are mine. The 1st seller I bought from did sell a medal twice with that cert but that could be stock photos?

I was surprised when I checked and the medals that I have 2 same certs showed up in the data base.

I guess I will wait and see if they contact me about it.

I would think that would get their attention and they would be wanting to at least look at them and relabel one if both are legit? Nobody seems to concerned about it.

This is really sad if you think about it,,,,, how can PCGS have people missing EASY to spot varieties such as the FEV and the wide Rim SBA discussed above???

I called it out on the form and paid the fee,,,,,,WTH

There have been posts on the PCGS Forums about them missing varieties as well.

Well, I finally heard from PCGS on the (2) Medals with the same cert number,,,,,

Hello Gary,

I have been working with my operations manager in resolving this issue.

1. The 4 medals with bad certs should all be fixed now.
2. The medals with identical cert numbers need to be sent in to our office for review
a. We believe one of them to be fake

Please confirm your shipping address so that I may provide you with a FedEx label to send the coins to our facility.

Best, Nicole

---------------------

I personally believe both medals to be genuine,,,,, if not this is scary because both holders and both medals look good to me. It will be interesting to see what PCGS deceides?

WoW! That's a new one!
Can you tell which one you believe to be the fake, in a fake PCGS slab?
Is that an expensive medal?

Happy Hunting!
