Beware of 2018 FUN FS-103 & 106 Ikes

Do your research before dropping down a chunk of money! Lots of mis-attributed Ikes out there.
See section 4 of the Ike Forum.
At least the FS-801's in the same auction are correct. Kinda hard to mess those up!

Best research on the FS-103 is found here:

Hard to believe that the falsely attributed FS-103's are already bid at over over $1,000 each. (With buyer premiums).
I'm just going to assume that this is due to the seller "protecting" their coin, or trying to "bid-up" their coin, that they had unknowingly, heavily invested in, thinking it was a legit FS-103.

I'm hoping that forum members here, by now, have read Steve's study on the 103 that I posted the link for, and can now tell for themselves whether or not, an Ike Dollar with good pics is in fact, a legit 103 or not. Education is everything! Especially when one needs to plunk down 4 figures to acquire the coin. You should be getting what you paid for, unless you are just buying the plastic and the label.

Meanwhile, the easily properly attributed 801's that are RARELY seen up for public auction are WAY behind the falsely attributed 103's.
We have the highest graded top-pop DCAM AND CAM 801 BOTH up for auction at the same time! Never seen it before and I doubt I'll ever see it again. I can't even remember the last time a single 801, in ANY grade, was up for public auction at ANY time!

Happy Hunting!

It never ceases to amaze me how many people believe PCGS's word has to be 101% correct. I've read their forums for 15 years, and to this day, it still continues. Many people think they can do no wrong; if it's in a PCGS holder, it has to be worthy. There's a lot of newbies and veterans alike who drink the Kool-Aid...... from a fire hose!

The two FS-103 Ikes on Heritage are both MMP2.
MMP likely has two reverses - one of them with a TDR. The TDR is a requisite for a true FS-103. Without knowledge of the reverse being a TDR, I'd be hard=pressed to pull the trigger.
