72-S BS..MDO-1

Post by ilikeikes » Sat Mar 15, 2014 1:27 am

This 72-S BS is a EDS coin, with notching that is a tad above the "Medium" threshold..as I see in my Wiles book, this appears to be the 1972-S MD-1-O-II-C..."Light spread in LIBE and IGWT"..still, a fun spread to witness. Perhaps DDO-O3, but, not sure..I don't see real 3x notching.

Interesting feature on G..in GOD..the notch on left inside of upper arm..I've only ever seen it on staff, and bottom.

Not this one..found 3 that ARE, and, after further review, earlier die sates, showing better notching IGWT..tripling? Most likely.
DDO-OO3, I wouldn't surmise..72's are brutal for analysis...series doubling, master die doubling, combo of both, and MDD issues adding to the nightmare on Elm St. I bought out a dealer's inventory of 71-72-S PF & BS...hoping for the usual suspects..not much found, so, into the silver box they go for holding until silver hits $55.00 next week :(
