Been studying the readings and postings on the Micro-S, and other MM's for the 1974-S series...still cannot make up my mind, whether a Micro-S, or not...altered a few pics to perhaps help with ID...this MM is on my Clad PF Eskimo Boot IKE, which is featured in the "Mud Room" Chapter of the SE Ike Book. Go easy, I'm here to learn. The upper loop does come down a bit..I'll guess MM-2, early stage C.

Looks like MMS-1, but not micro-S.
If you post a photo of the bust/FG/MM/197/rim area, I'd love to check the MMP versus the clad EBPL that I have.

I checked yours against the two 74S CP esikimo boot peg legs, and one near-ebpl that I have.
- if you can, please post a pic of the R to verify the peg leg, and if possible another pic of the MM area coned to what you see in my pics below.

Your coin has MMS1 (non-microS), the two ebpl coins that I have both are MMS1 (with one a microS). The microS / ebpl has been attributed by Brian Vaile and appears here:
http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/showcase.aspx?sc=1594

The near ebpl coin that I have is a MMS2.

The number of coins in this thread is too small to make this call, but the association between MMS1 and the ebpl should be investigated further. Perhaps the owners of verified ebpl 74S CPs out there can have a look and chime in here.

As far as MMP, there were no matches among the three MMS1 ebpl coins. (photos below)
Again, if any owners out there want to post photos coned to match my MMP photos below, it would be greatly appreciated in cataloguing and learning more about this variety.
