1972S silver proof peg leg?

These Peg Legs were created by the polishing (or abrading) done to the area between Ike's head and the "R" on the working or master dies.

Post by leroyz58 » Wed Feb 01, 2017 12:58 pm

Has anyone heard of or seen a 1972S Silver proof Pegleg?
I have one that I think may be of this variety and year and do not see it on the Diva attribution page.

Don't want to take the wind out of your sails, but, all 72S proof and uncirculated are peg legs. Now, if you have one of those that's not a peg leg....

Thanks for joining, glad to have you. Please keep asking and learning!

I have learned ( through many years and much stress) not to fill my sails before I have proper information from reliable sources such as yourself and this esteemed webste.

The leg on the coin in question looks atrophied as compared to images on PCGS and Heritage Auctions websites; hence my curiosity.

Thanks for the help. I look forward to learning all I can!
