1973 SP (FS 101?)

Post by roserichelle » Wed Mar 29, 2017 7:33 pm

Another brown box Ike, which I have questions about.
How to tell if it's silver or clad?
Also, I took several pics of obverse doubling, thick mintmark with ghost image to the upper left, and several marks. One mark is on the ear and several are on the neck.
Let me know what you think.

Brown box = 40% silver.
I don't see the classic neck scratch of the FS-101. The doubling of the FS-101 is clearly upline doubling - there are other SP, SB, and even CP for 73S that bear the same doubling pattern. That said, PCGS has attributed many FS-101 that do not have the neck scratch, and therefore many different MMPS reside in FS-101 holders.
