Peg Leg FEV

Post by BrianVaile » Wed Jul 22, 2009 2:40 pm

Found this puppy today going through some FEV slabs...A Die State abraded Peg Leg that also has
a very faint TH (due to abrasion on Ike's head in this area).
Reverse is nice and "fresh" with no signs of clashing.

I got so fired up, I went through all of my raw, circulated ones and found 1 more! :D

Happy Hunting!

Thanks, Bill!

The best part was, I didn't have to go anywhere or spend anything (else).
Finding cool stuff in inventory is a great thing! :D

Happy Hunting!

Hopefully Brian will add to the list (and I plan on getting to the FEVE peg leg in the other thread):
peg leg
"block" B
faint talon head
MMP (rough example from Brian's 2009 photo below)

I believe, but have not completely researched it yet, that the "block B" preceded the peg leg on this unusual clashed obverse die paired with a FEV reverse. IOW, you might mind block B FEVs without a complete peg leg bearing the same MMP, and a little later (more die abrasion), you get both appearing. Again, this is a hypothesis without enough detailed study at this point.
