Rotated Reverse

Post by Paul54 » Tue Dec 30, 2008 2:05 am

I was wondering about rotated reverses on Ike Dollars.
Haven't seen much discussion on this subject and came across a 1976 with about 15-20 degree rotation.
Are these seen very often?

PM Gandyjai to bring his attention to this thread.

He has several very nice Rotated Reverse BIKES.
I cannot and will not be held responsible for my typing errors as it appears that there is a bug in the keyboard!
........I've tried on numberous occasions to fix the problme but it just keeps coming back agin and again! -L. Lydston 2008

The 76-P Type 1's can be found with a 10%-20% clockwise rotated reverses fairly easily.
I have tried to get NGC to attribute these, but the ones I sent all came back as
"Too Minor". They are supposed to attribute anything over 15%,...I guess they don't
feel like these are over 15%. I feel that some of them are and will try again.

The 76-S Bicentennial Silvers can also be found in much greater degrees of rotation....
65 CW, 90 CW, 90 CCW and 130 CCW. But these are MUCH rarer and can bring HUGE premiums!

Happy Hunting!

Thanks for the information, especially about the 76S. I will have to check the several rows that I have while I set out this ice storm we've had here in SW Indiana.
