Post by Sumdunce »

Does anyone have images of the two types of reverses or a link to them?

Thanks!

LaMont, the rare 71-S Proof Ike, two known specimens, is a mule with the common high relief die coupled with a proof-treated low relief T1 reverse die (with the three islands mostly East of Florida). I think that's correct. If not, someone will rescue me! Rob
Now is the time to cherry Ikes. Lots of fruit still on the trees but don't wait too long. Rob Ezerman

That is what I remember from the minute I spent with them. Didn't really have time to study them and look for other differences.

A friend of mine has both. The Nixon ike is a proof with the 3 islands of the Blue Ike’s. The regular Proof 1971-s has the encuss islands.
If interested I can get you pictures and video
